Decisive Days for World Lie Ahead

The Copenhagen conference on climate change wil be prove decisive for the world, though it will almost certainly only be able to pave the way for a formal agreement to cut emissions. This offers the best available chance to save the world's future and those of our descendants. And still the nay sayers- Lord Lawson, Jeremy Clarkson et. al., continue to say nay, buoyed up, it would seem by those UEA emails, which in fact do nothing to challenge the mass of evidence already available.

My feeling on the nay sayers is that they are simply choosing not to believe because it will affect their economic status and ability to consume at breakneck speed as the world has for the last half century. If the doom merchants are wrong the world will continue to continue, but if the nay sayers are wrong they are condemning future generations to oblivion. Surely too big a risk to take? As the Guardian editorial, shared with 55 other world newspapers, says 'we can go into extra time but we can't afford a replay.' The stark fact is there can be no replay

Comments:
we believe we also know that China and other countries will still pump out the shit, next year we will still have massive poverty and people dying as brown or hopefully Cameron will look to see how they can tax the F*ck out of me on the grounds it's green

"buoyed up, it would seem by those UEA emails, which in fact do nothing to challenge the mass of evidence already available".

On the contrary. When your opponents are caught lying - and manipulating data in such a way is lying in any terms - then it strengthens your resolve and your arguments.

"If the doom merchants are wrong the world will continue to continue, but if the nay sayers are wrong they are condemning future generations to oblivion".

On the contrary. If the eco-fundamentalists are wrong, they will joyfully bankrupt our countries - most Green movements have been campaigning for zero growth for years in any case - and consign many of our young people to a life of hard work and miserable living standards.

Spelt out in these terms, it is little wonder parties with such extreme environmentalist agendas have never polled seriously in any meaningful election in the UK.

I see Brown has stated the third runway will go ahead at Heathrow, and that aircraft passengers will grow in line with expectations but the future is for Bio Fuels and better engines in the future.

So we can wait then for the future, it's OK then.

Copenhagen says flying is a big cause of the problems, but hell brown wants to spy on everyone now using satellites, but will not move an inch on flying.

I cannot be bothered really this looks like another excuse to put a tax on us all.

Yes Climate is serious sadly governments are not

China will refuse to stop making CO2 until about 2030 but only if we give it money and technologies, yes and what do we get for it Flu.

USA we will only cut back when it suits them, this conference used 140 jets, 120 cars, and hundreds of security if not thousands all driving lorries cars trucks, but hell why are we not having conference through the use of the Internet for god sake.
